Format of the Conference
The 45th Union World Conference is a five day event with the following format:
Tuesday, 28 October 2014: Global Tuberculosis Symposium, organised by the World Health Organization (WHO)
Meeting open to all delegates; no badge is required to access the meeting room.
Wednesday, 29 October 2014: Post-graduate courses and workshops followed by the Inaugural Lecture and Welcome Reception.
Sessions taking place on the first 2 days are pre-conference activities not pertaining to the core programme of the conference.
- Workshops: delegates are not subject to a registration fee but are required to choose the session they will be attending. They will receive a pass to access the meeting room for their workshop.
- Post-graduate courses: delegates are required to register and a fee of 100 € will apply. They will receive a pass to access the meeting room for their course.
Day 3 - 5
From Thursday, 30 October to Saturday 1 November 2014: Symposia, oral abstract presentation sessions, poster discussion sessions, plenary sessions and 'meet the expert' sessions, scientific section, region and business meetings.
Wearing badges will be compulsory to attend the sessions taking place on these 3 days of the conference. Delegates without badges will be denied access to the venue. Sessions offered are part of the core programme.
A scientific and technical exhibition showcasing a variety of companies, agencies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), health organisations and manufacturers of materials and equipment.
